COACH/PERSONAL TRAINER

LUCAS KING

I grew up playing soccer until the age of 19. This is where I first started getting into the gym and lifting weights. I decided to study my Certificate III and IV in Fitness. While studying I discovered CrossFit and Zion Fitness. Starting as a gym member, I began to love weightlifting and the technical aspects of coaching. I began working at Zion a short while after.

‍While working at Zion I have developed my coaching abilities in strength and conditioning, Olympic weightlifting (Snatch and Clean & Jerk), and key strength lifts such as the squat, bench press, and deadlift. I love what I do and hope to pass on my knowledge to as many people as I can.

‍I was always extremely nervous walking into new and unfamiliar situations and the gym was one of them. I know how people feel when they say they are nervous about going to the gym. Once getting over the first step and starting to become familiar with the setting I began to love the process and setting goals and hitting PBs. This helped me both inside the gym as well as in other areas of my life.

‍I strongly believe that attitude in the gym can help with external aspects in a person's life. If your challenge is getting into the gym my goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible to help you take the first step.

‍My passion is getting people to learn the fundamentals of how to train with the correct technique. The technique is the most crucial part of my coaching as it helps with muscle growth, injury prevention, and the ability to perform the exercises by yourself. I love to help people take their first steps into a gym and help them settle in and feel confident and comfortable in the environment.
